Watch out Tesla, Lego has it’s own innovative spin on the Cybertruck. Lego engineers were so inspired with the latest release from Tesla, they had to attempt their own creation. Obviously, Lego is having some fun poking at Elon Musk and the Tesla Cybertruck.
Via Twitter, Lego declares this new set is guaranteed to be shatterproof. This is just a jab at the failed demo where Musk had designer Franz von Holzhausen throw a large metal ball at the drive and rear passenger windows of the Cybertruck, but they (unexpectedly) smashed instantly. Musk claims that this happened because Holzhausen’s prior sledgehammer strikes to the driver door panel undermined the structure of the windows, but people only remember what they want.
Despite the nay-saying, Musk has over 250,000 customers signed up and ready for the Tesla Cybertruck. Each one put down a refundable $100 deposit, which demonstrates the amount of interest and commitment level from consumers.
No word on Lego’s truck availability or pre-orders.
