The Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign is still available for a million dollars. Nissan revealed this model almost a year ago in its final production form and opened the order books. Nissan released an update on the exclusive and expensive GT-R and confirms a few units are still available.
Originally, Nissan said they received a “significant number of deposits” for the GT-R50. The Japanese company went on to confirm a “limited number of reservations for the remaining models are still available.” The number of sold units must fall somewhere in the middle of the 50-car limited production run. After that the Italdesign collaboration anniversary model will be a collectors item.
With such a limited production run, it’s surprising that any units remain. The GT-R fan base is extensive, but that price tag runs close to a steep million dollars. For the consumers who initially gave a deposit, the customizations are being finalized. Owners can expect to see the cars delivered between the end of 2020 and the end of 2021. Patience is a virtue, or so they say.
Nissan did release some new photo renderings to show off the GT-R50 in different paint colors. If you are traveling to Europe next year, the Nissan GT-R500 prototype will be on display at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
