The 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 and CLA 250 4MATIC have arrived. It looks like a CLS-Class on a smaller scale. Similarly, it has the same low nose and roofline. The CLA’s larger taillights balances out the back to reduce the heavy look. The CLA looks much sleeker than earlier models. The engine is a version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 in the A-Class and the CLA-Class. This version adds 13 more horsepower at 221 hp, and 33 more than in the A-Class. The CLA-Class will be offered in Front-wheel-drive (FWD) or All-wheel-drive (AWD) with a dual-clutch seven-speed transmission. With the increased horsepower, the A-Class should be more responsive creating an exciting drive.
The new CLA-Class’s interior almost mirrors the A-Class. It comes with two free-standing, monolithic screens for instrumentation and infotainment. However, the new A-Class interior is superior to the old CLA. A low dashboard, flashy metallic round air vents, myriad ambient lighting colors, 7-inch instrument, MBUX and infotainment screens come standard. Options available include driver assist systems from the S-Class like adaptive cruise control, lane-change assist, steering assist and parking assist. Infotainment screen available in 10.23-inch screen as an option in.
There has not been an official announcement with pricing, but it should released as the sale date approaches towards the end of 2019. The current model starts at $34,095.
