The 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo gets an upgrade with a 434-hp engine. The Macan Turbo will arrive in the United States sometime in the fourth quarter. The Porsche 2020 Macan Turbo will feature an updated powertrain and chassis with the new engine, delivering improved performance. The Turbo is rejoining the Macan lineup after a one-year hiatus.
The Macan was already a fast car, but Porsche now claims the new Turbo shaves 0.3-seconds off the 0-60 mph time, with or without the Sport Chrono Package. The engine is the 2.9L twin-turbo V6, the same used in the Cayenne and Panamera. The new Macan Turbo runs 434-hp with 405 lb-ft of torque, this is an increase of 34 hp from the outgoing 3.6L twin-turbo V6. The new Macan Turbo has a top track speed of 167 mph.
Another upgrade with the new Macan Turbo is Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB). These brakes deliver improved stopping power. They feature a durable layer of tungsten carbide to reduce brake dust by up to 90 percent. Some standard features for the Macan Turbo include: a sport exhaust, 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, Turbo-specific bumper, Bose audio system, and Porsche Active Suspension Management dampers. There is an optional upgrade of height-adjustable air suspension with specialized rolling pistons and new shock absorber hydraulics, plus ceramic composite brakes. The Turbo is sporting the unique redesigned roof spoiler.
Looking at the interior, it includes 18-way adjustable seats with memory, Alcantara headliner, 14-speaker Bose surround system, and a 10.9 inch touchscreen. New for the Macan lineup in 2020 is the Qi inductive charging for devices.
Pricing for the Porsche Macan Turbo starts at $84,950. Look for the 2020 Porsche Macan Turbo in dealerships near the end of 2019.
