Subaru releases a teasers shot of the all new 2020 Outback. It will officially debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 17. The only information released is this teaser photo and Subaru confirming that it is “all-new.” The Subaru teaser photo displays a tall, rugged wagon.
Looking at the teaser shot, the lower bumper surround and foglight design look more compact than the current models big round lights. The headlights look like they are a different shape and size. Subaru changed the side mirror design by adding some chrome. The automaker also added more black plastic cladding. Also, it seems there might be a new black wheel option.
The last major update for the Outback was in 2018. At the Chicago Auto Show, Subaru released the new 2020 Legacy, and expect both cars to share the same features. The Legacy upgraded their interior, joined Subaru’s Global Platform, traded the fast six engine in for a turbo flat-four and added a 11.6-inch touchscreen. The introduction of two cars in a short amount of time is no surprise, this is Subaru’s usual MO.
