The Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign has the final design for production. Nissan has officially opened the door to orders on the limited-run vehicle. The production version is stunning with a blue/gold color combination, an option for a special order of the 50th anniversary GT-R, but clients will have a full range of choices. Interior packages will be customizable. The base price will start at $1,126,799, before adding options.
The car is essentially a GT-R Nismo with an Italdesign twist. The 3.8-liter V6 gets the larger turbos from Nissan’s GT3-class race car, better internals, more aggressive cams and upgraded intercoolers. This adds the extra 110 hp and 94 lb-ft of torque. In order to handle the harder launches, Nissan added stronger differentials and axles. It will have the larger six-piston Brembo brake calipers up front and four-point piston clampers in the rear to assist in breaking, while active Bilstein dampers with handle the bumps in the road.
The limited production is no joke. They are only releasing 50 for world production, and several will end up in Asia and Europe. Now is the opportunity to own a Nissan priced over a million dollars.
