If you want to go 190 miles per hour, while owning a SUV, buy the new 2020 Bentley Bentayga. The bestselling Bentley, is getting the Speed treatment offering higher performance. The 2020 Bentayga Speed is now the top-performing SUV for the automaker, being hailed as the “world’s fastest production SUV.” The W12 engine pumps out 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. The extra 26 horsepower from previous models, help it reach that top speed of 190 miles per hour. The 0 to 60 mph is 3.9 seconds, though the Lamborghini Urus annoyingly hits 0 to 60 in 3.6 seconds.
The Bentley Dynamic Ride, or 48-volt electronic anti-roll system comes standard. The Bentayga Speed growls from the chest, with a louder exhaust at start-up and during downshifts. There are also four different drive modes, and four off-road modes. Carbon-ceramic brakes are on option, and with the Speed trim upgraded performance capabilities, they are highly recommended.
The Bentley Bentayga Speed has a dark front grille, headlights and taillights. The exterior has rocker panel extensions, a liftgate-mounted rear spoiler, and 22-inch 10-spoke wheels with three different finishes. A fan favorite, the Speed offers the Alcantara upholstery in all leather, as a standard feature. Other interior features include, extensive contrast stitching, “Speed” logos, rear seat entertainment, mood lighting, massaging front seats (yes, please) and illuminated door sill plates.
The Bentley Bentayga is the first SUV by the automaker. No pricing has been released yet, but expect the Bentayga Speed to be more than the $229,100, the starting price for a standard W12 Bentayga. The vehicle will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Dealers are open for orders now, with U.S. deliveries scheduled to start this fall.
