Chances are you know someone with a modified Jeep Wrangler. With the cultish Jeep Wave, the lift kits and 37’s, someone you know is spending every weekend on the trails or in the garage upgrading or repairing. The Jeep Gladiator has the potential to create the same kind of loyalty, enthusiasm and excitement with owners.
After being fully unveiled at the L.A. Auto Show, the Jeep Gladiator will likely follow the same trail as the Wranglers. One of the Gladiator’s on the show floor was already equipped with official Mopar parts. Many of the Mopar parts will be available for sale at the same time we see the Gladiator released next year. We are hoping for the 2-inch lift kit, rock rails, and tube doors.
Options to enhance your off-road capability will be LED lights, winch-capable steel bumpers and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. They are adding some great storage solutions like bed-mounted cross rails, ramps, roof racks/carriers and tonneau covers. Mopar will also offer side graphics, hood graphics and Katzkin leathers seats for owners to personalize their trucks. The two power modifications currently available will be a cold air intake and Mopar catback exhaust. Jeep hasn’t released any official figures but claims they add power and torque. FCA promises over 200 different parts will be available for the Jeep Gladiator.
