If you are going to be in Switzerland this March, stop by the 2019 Geneva Motor Show to see the new concept from Mitsubishi. A recent teaser was released from Mitsubishi of the Engelberg Tourer, an electric SUV concept car. It appears to be a crossover concept similar to Mitsubishi’s other recent crossover EV’s, but with a different front design.

The last concept brought to fruition from Mitsubishi was the Eclipse Cross, but the reviews have been full bag of mixed emotions on the styling. Mitsubishi wants to bring “more SUV, more EV, more technology and more style.” Supposedly, the Engelberg Tourer is named after a Swiss ski resort.

From the teaser, the front end has a rugged new look designed for (possibly) off-pavement activity. The blue lighting up front is reflective of the electric powertrain. The teaser shows a light bar up top that appears minimal and sleek compared to more obstructive units in the previous models.

It follows the e-Evolution in Mitsubishi’s line of all-electric SUV concepts, showcasing blanked-off radiator grille, three electric motors, four-wheel-drive, active yaw control and torque vectoring. The Engelberg Tourer hopefully upgrades the technology with competitive infotainment and safety features.

Looking forward to more information being released at Geneva in March, stay tuned.
