Mercedes-AMG releases the new sleek 2020 CLA 35 with 300 horsepower. Mercedes now has two small sport sedans, the CLA 35 and the A 35. The specification are the same, but now you have the choice between a formal sedan or coupe-like sedan. These videos give a better look at first-ever CLA 35 and its exterior design with tech savvy interior.
Both models share the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 302 horsepower and 295 pound per feet of torque. Mercedes claims that the CLA 35 is 0.1 seconds faster in the 0-60 mph than the A 35. The performance and handling upgrades are the same in both vehicles with lighter front suspension components and upgrades brakes. Both have front calipers are fixed four-piston with sliding a single-piston in the rear.
Finally, one difference is the technology, the CLA 35 has the dual 10.25-inch screen for instruments and infotainment, plus the MBUX voice commands. Another cool tech feature is the AMG Track Pace app that can store all your throttle inputs, G-forces and lap times, and display driving lines to help improve your race track skills. Another interior option, the sports seats are upgradeable to even better seats,
Mercedes-AMG boss Tobias Moers said, “The new CLA 35 enables stepping in to the fascinating world of AMG Driving Performance in a particularly emotional way. The new CLA 35 is an attractive offer for a young, active and life-style conscious target group. These customers define their requirements very clearly: they expect design from their vehicle alongside superior performance and inspiring handling characteristics.” The CLA 35 will premiere at the New York Auto Show, but no pricing or availability has been announced.
