Fifty years ago, Honda set up doing business in Australia, and to celebrate they covered everything in gold. Honda created a line-up of seven gold-colored products, ranging from the Honda Type R to a generator. Honda wanted to demonstrate the many performance power products the company produces with a distinctive visual impact. Along with Type R, Honda has the NSX (an overseas only vehicle), a CBR1000RR super-sport motorcycle, a CRF450L enduro bike, a CRF50F children’s off-road motorcycle, an HRU19 Buffalo Premium lawnmower, and an EU22i generator. Honda definitely has created a variety of products over the course of fifty years. Who wouldn’t enjoy pushing a gold lawn mower?

Sorry, the line-up is not available to consumers, they are one-off models. Each of them will have a specially designed “50 Years in Australia” decal to capture the celebration. Honda did partnered with a Melbourne based company called Vinyl Wraps and Graphics, to create all the gold vehicles. The look was crafted starting with a gold chrome layer and adding a clear satin film to dull the shininess. Check them out.
