The Hennessey Ford Ranger VelociRaptor celebrates its production status with a Raptor drag race. This special edition has 360 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque, which is more than previously anticipated. When it was first announced, the VelociRaptor would have 350 horsepower and 385 pound-feet of torque. I don’t think anyone will complain about more performance power.
The Hennessey project is 2 seconds faster than the stock option at 0-60 in just 4.9 seconds. It ran through the quarter-mile in 13.9 seconds at 101 mph, and is also quicker than a stock full-size Ford Raptor. Hennessey demonstrated the power and speed in the video: VelociRaptor Ranger vs Stock Ford Raptor.
The Stage 1 suspension package has a less restrictive exhaust system and recalibrated ECU tuning, giving it the increased power. Hennessey added a four-inch lift kit to accommodate the BFG Mud Terrain TA KM2 tires running on 18-inch wheels. More upgrades are available to enhance the off-road capabilities of the VelociRaptor.
To purchase a Ford Ranger VelociRaptor, it will cost $64,950. That price includes the base pickup from Ford. If you have a truck ready for mods, the Hennessey upgrade package cost $19,950 plus shipping. Think quickly because only 500 packages will be available in 2019. Also, the VelociRaptor upgrade package will be covered by a 3 year or 36,000 mile warranty.
