Dodge Challenger Demon vs Hellcat at the Drag Strip

You already know how this will end

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon vs SRT Hellcat at the Drag Strip. The Challenger SRT Demon is the most nefarious creation from Dodge. The widebody beauty Challenger is sinister and ready to tear up the drag strip. The Challenger SRT Hellcat is atrocious and beastly, but not running nearly the same specs. The presenter of the video said, “We already know how the story ends, but I still wanted to see it from my own eyes.” We couldn’t agree more.

Here’s the comparison, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat runs a 6.2-liter V8 engine with a 2.4-liter supercharger. The Hellcat pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The Hellcat can race 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds from a complete stop. The Dodge Demon has the same V8, but with a 2.7-liter supercharger powering it to 808 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque when fueled with 91 octane gasoline. Now switch it up using the red key, fuel it with 100 octane gasoline or higher, the Demon can run with 840 horsepower. The Demon can reach 0-60 mph in only 2.3 seconds. Granted it weighs 4,254 pounds, 215 pounds less than the SRT Hellcat and that helps but only a smidge.

There is a $20,000 price difference between the Hellcat and the Demon. Watch the video and decide for yourself, if it’s worth the price.
