Mopar lovers will celebrate with Dodge’s SRT performance division announcing the return of the Sublime color, for the first time on certain Dodge Charger or Challenger models. Looking back in history, the Sublime color debuted on the 1970 Dodge vehicles, resurfaced in 2007 for the limited production Charger R/T Daytona, and for the 2015 Challenger lineup. FCA even used it in 2017 on the limited-edition RAM 1500 Sublime Sport truck.
What vehicles will sport the lime-green Sublime metallic paint job for 2019? Sublime will be available on the 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, with the 392 Hemi V8, and the 707 horsepower Charger SRT Hellcat. The 2019 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye powered by 797 horsepower, that recently hit showroom floors, will be excluded from paint spectacle. However, the Sublime returns to the Challenger T/A for the first time in 49 years. Dodge//SRT continues to support the demand by offering a wide variety of high-impact exterior colors. Sublime joins the coveted color options for both models including Go Mango Orange, Plum Crazy Purple, TorRed, and B5 Blue. Mopar enthusiasts will not be disappointed.
In 2018, the Dodge Charger led the U.S. large car sedan segment for the fifth year in a row. With return of Sublime, enthusiasts will experience a sense of nostalgia of days past, with fast cars in flashy colors on the road. This month, ordering is open to dealerships for the Sublime 2019 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger. You can see both vehicle options on display next week at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show.
