BMW released specs on the 2020 M4 coupe limited ///M Heritage edition. This variation will be limited to only 750 units. This limited-edition BMW M4 coupe was developed in honor of its M division’s 48th anniversary. While a 48th anniversary is an odd celebration, it’s a chance to make a toast of almost five decades and moving into a new direction.
The BMW M4 Edition ///M Heritage will be available in three exterior colors: Laguna Seca Blue, Velvet Blue and Imola Red II. Significantly, the three colors represent the colors of the M emblem. The interior has contrast stitching color-coded to each hue. Laguna Seca Blue gets Silverstone/Black leather upholstery with turquoise stitching. Velvet Blue gets Sivlerstone/Black leather with blue stitching. Imola Red II gets Red/Black leather and red stitching. The special edition will feature a carbon fiber roof panel accented by a decorative stripe, plus grey, 20-inch alloy wheels. Other features include carbon fiber trim accents, leather-upholstered sports seats and model-specific badges. Riding in this variation will definitely feel like an upgrade from a standard M4.
The BMW M4 Heritage is equipped with the 3.0L straight-six turbocharged engine with 444 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. It is only offered in rear-wheel drive, but BMW offers the option between a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic controlled via shift paddles. Set up like the M4 Competition Package vehicles, the special edition has Adaptive M Suspension which includes springs, shocks and anti-roll bars. This variation does 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.
This BMW M4 Edition ///M Heritage will only have 750 units globally. Production will start at the end of the year and pricing will be released closer to the on-sale date.
