2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition

5.0-liter V8 puts out 472 horsepower

The official release of the 2020 Lexus RC F has arrived. It’s crafted with tons of carbon fiber and adds the upgraded Track Edition. With a little update, the 5.0-liter V8 because pumps out 472 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, giving it a little boost from the previous version. The styling has small updates including the headlights, taillights, and front and rear fascia. The coupe is rocking hollow half shafts, aluminum suspension bits, a lightened intake manifold, and a smaller air conditioning compressor to assist with weight reduction. They added a simple launch control system. The directions are: press the brake, floor the gas, drop the brake. Easy peasy, allowing the RC F to race 60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds. Custom Michelin’s Pilot Sport 4S tires and a higher rear axle ratio help manage performance. 

The upgraded Track Edition is the biggest change in this 2020 Lexus RC F. The massive carbon fiver rear wing and lower front spoiler shape the aesthetic appeal. Adding the lighter fixed rear wing give the vehicle 58 more pounds of downforce and reduced drag. Other carbon fiber parts include the hood, roof, rear-seat partition and bumper reinforcement. Titanium muffler and tailpipes, Brembo carbon ceramic rotors, and BBS 19-inch forged wheels are also lighter crafted parts adding up to 176-pound weight loss. This weight reductions takes 3.96 seconds of the 0-60 mph.

The Chicago Auto Show release of the Lexus 2020 RC F or upgraded Tracked edition did not give any pricing. Lexus did state that production will begin in the second quarter of 2019.
