At the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, even the CEO participates in the bidding. The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 VIN 001 caught Craig Jackson’s attention. His winning bid of $1.1 million, will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The auction car driving across the floor was orange, but Ford stated Jackson will be able to customize his car with color and features. When there is a highly anticipated limited-edition performance car, enthusiasts and historians alike, are interested in the collectible first production unit.
The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was just announced last week at the Detroit Auto Show. The hype followed the Shelby all the way to Arizona. The powerhouse muscle car will have a 5.2-liter V8 with over 700 horsepower. Sales are to begin fall 2019 for the Shelby GT500. Don’t worry, the price tag will be a little under the $1.1 million it sold for at the Barrett-Jackson.
