The 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 regular cab will cost only $29,895. The full-size pickup truck is finally available with the regular-cab and the price is $3,000 less than the entry-level four-door extended cab model. The Chevy compared to other regular cab models, like the Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, is more expensive. Both competitors kept more options available in their regular cabs like the powertrain, two axle ratios, and more engines.
The 2019 regular-cab Silverado has very limited trims and configurations. Chevy deleted the short bed option, leaving only the long bed. The regular-cab is only available in the WT (Work Truck) trim, with two engine choices. The options include the 4.2-liter V6 and the 5.3-liter V8 with simpler Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation instead of the Dynamic Fuel Management System. The Silverado 1500 is still available in both rear-wheel and four-wheel drive. The 2019 model only comes with one powertrain option with a 3.42 rear axle ration.
The regular cab only has about 12 percent share of the market for the Chevy Silverado 1500. However, if you are a truck lover that prefers the regular cab, the Chevy Silverado 1500 is a great work truck option. Production is happening at GM’s Flint Assembly in Michigan. They should be arriving at dealerships soon.
